Following are Rijul’s top 5 tips & tricks on how he manages his Digital Wellness with his phone:

  1. Intentional usage of Phone

    • No phones when connecting with others offline. Say no to ‘Phubbing’ (snubbing people in person with your phones)

  2. Healthier usage of Phone

    • Calling people over text whenever possible

    • Video call with relationships whenever possible

    • Meeting people in person whenever possible

  3. Analog Technology

    • Sleep with an old fashioned Analog Alarm Clock instead of Phones

    • Use of Landline in the night or early morning: In case of any urgency in the night or early morning, close family members can reach out via Landline

  4. Minimalistic Phone

    • Black & White Phone Display (Grayscale)

    • No Notifications except this app called “Motivation” (which provides nudges on motivational quotes)

    • No Social Media apps

    • No News Apps

  5. Healthy Boundaries with Phones

    • Out of Sight Out of Mind: Keep phones out of sight when he wants to focus & get work done

    • No phones first thing in the morning or last thing in the night

This has enabled Rijul to improve the quality of his Relationships, Sleep, Time, life, health & overall well-being.

That being said, what works for one person might not work for another as everyone’s Digital Wellness & routines are different. But you won’t know until & unless you start trying & practicing with your Digital Wellness.

Why not try one of the above steps & let me know your experience in the comments section :) ?
