Right to disconnect was the bill proposed in Lok Sabha in 2018 regarding the ability of people to disconnect from work and primarily not to engage in work-related electronic communications such as e-mails or messages during non-work hours. Meanwhile, COVID-19 has brought major attention to this subject. This persistent urge to respond to calls and e-mails, constant checking of devices throughout the day, and even on weekends and holidays, is reported to have destroyed the work-life balance of employees.
