When Screens Fade Away: Poetry on Screen time
In the glow of a thousand screens, I stand,
Connected, yet lonely in this digital land.
Messages ping, notifications ring,
But in my heart, there's an empty sting.
Faces flicker, profiles scroll,
Yet none can touch my wandering soul.
A world online, a web so vast,
Still, the present moment slips so fast.
In this 24/7 endless race,
I yearn for a true, unmasked face.
A voice, a laugh, a hand to hold,
A story shared, a moment bold.
Then one day, the screens went dark,
And life ignited a long-lost spark.
Eyes met eyes, and smiles were real,
Emotions we could touch and feel.
The sun felt warm, the air so sweet,
We walked through fields with dancing feet.
Birds sang songs, kids' laughter soared,
In simple joys, our hearts restored.
No more pings, just whispers of trees,
The rustling leaves, a calming breeze.
In nature's arms, we found our place,
True connection in every embrace.
Lonely no more, in the world so wide,
With screens away, joy cannot hide.
In every touch, and every glance,
We rediscovered life's true dance.
