Top 10 Life Lessons I would tell my younger self

Recently, I spent time introspecting on life lessons I would give to my younger self. For me, this is a process to help me learn from my life experiences & improve myself.

Following are the top 10 life that I’d tell my younger self:

1.      Focus on building a holistic life. Don’t compromise on any aspect of your life i.e. health or relationships etc. Have a balanced approach to life!

2.      Health is wealth. Don’t be reactive but proactive about your health. Health will add years to your life and life to your years.

3.      True happiness comes in being service to others in your life

4.      At the same time, fill your cup before you fill others. If you don’t love yourself how can you love others?

5.      No amount of success will be enough. You need to be content with what you have and learn to love the journey. Keep contributing because you love what you do.

6.      Listen to the noise around you with a pinch of salt. Ultimately, do what you feel is true to yourself! At the end of your life, you don’t want to regret living a life not true to yourself and based on how others wanted you to live your life.

7.      Don’t wait for ’30s or ’40s to live your life. You can live your life now right now! As Dale Carnegie says, We are all dreaming of some magical roses garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses blooming outside our window today!

8.      The real luxury in life is time and not money

9.      We overestimate what we can do in a day but underestimate what we can do in a year/longer period of time.

10.   You are enough!

Most importantly, during this life journey don’t forget to have fun ;) !

What would be advice you would give to your younger self?
