Treating yourself to luxury on a day-to-day basis: Digital Detox

Post-COVID, screens, in more ways than usual, demand our constant attention. Work, studies, leisure — it seems almost impossible to get through a single day without exceeding a healthy screen time limit.

Often, there comes a moment when all we want is a break—a break from the constant notifications and distractions that our screens pose to us. However, this break, also known as a Digital Detox, more often than not, comes with “withdrawal symptoms”. We feel the need to check our messages, emails, and social media from time to time over the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO). As a consequence, we end up failing in our goal of taking this digital break (that all of us are in dire need of)!

How does one successfully undertake a digital detox? What are the steps that one can take in order to ensure that the withdrawal symptoms do not nullify one’s efforts to digitally detox? What are the practical habits that one can inculcate in order to incorporate a digital detox in our day-to-day lives?

A Digital Detox is no longer an occasional luxury. It is a necessity in our lives—one that is imperative to our thriving and survival in our life that is defined by 24/7 connection to digital technologies. Enclosed within this e-book is a sample Digital Detox Framework as well as a customizable one alongside various other tips, tricks, advice, and additional resources!
